Piles
Hemorrhoids, commonly known as piles, are swollen and inflamed veins in the rectum and anus that result in discomfort, bleeding, and itching. They can be internal (inside the rectum) or external (under the skin around the anus). Hemorrhoids are often caused by increased pressure on the veins in the pelvic and rectal area, commonly due to straining during bowel movements, obesity, or pregnancy. Mild cases can be managed with lifestyle changes, while more severe cases may require medical procedures or surgery.
Fistula
An anal fistula is an abnormal connection or tunnel that forms between the anal canal or rectum and the skin near the anus. It usually develops as a result of an untreated or recurrent anal abscess, where an infection has formed a tunnel. Fistulas can cause persistent pain, discharge, and recurrent infections and often require surgical intervention for resolution.
